Balloons for Mom
Today would have been Mom’s 74th birthday, and it’s the first one since she passed away. In honor of Mom (Grammy), Becky bought balloons, we all wrote notes, and then set them loose this evening.

Jill has got us all set up for the Lung cancer walk here in Kc for Sept 26. Please get the word out that we are recruting for TEAM JUDY. I’d like to see what you and I can do set up a fund to cover travel expenses for your family for the walk when we are in over Easter.
We all gathered here at Santa Marta and had a lovely dinner at Santa Marta in honor of Mom. Dad is doing just OK…he comes over to my house every morning about 6:15am for breakfast and to help get James and Michelle off to school. We usually meet up for an hour or two in the evening to write thank you notes- the donations are still comming in. In the evenings he goes to Molly or Lucy’s or Carter’s games.
I miss my best friend and feel sort of lost right now. It is good that I have lots of thank you notes to write. It keeps me busy.
